HEEAP – Working Toward a Modern Technical Workforce in Vietnam

The Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) brings together government, academia, and industry leaders to modernize and advance Vietnamese engineering higher education. The alliance kicked off in 2010 with $5 million in funding and a three-year commitment from Intel Vietnam, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and Arizona State University (ASU). The past two summers, 78 Vietnamese lecturers from five technical universities and three vocational schools completed training programs at ASU.

Vietnam - US Higher Education Summit

On Friday, December 16th, 2011, U.S. and Vietnamese leaders gathered at Arizona State University to discuss how to transform higher education in Vietnam. Cadence Makes Multimillion Dollar In-kind Donation to HEEAP

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, (Nov. 2, 2011) – Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), a leader in global electronic design innovation, has joined the Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) with an in-kind donation of electronic design automation (EDA) software and services valued at over USD $40 million.

Intel pledges to fund engineer training in Vietnam

HCMC – Intel has pledged to continue to fund US$5-7 million for the second phase of Higher Education Engineering Alliance Program (HEEAP) which costs around US$24 million in total.

However, the Ministry of Education and Training and the General Department of Vocational Training have to pay 50% for the project, said Rick Howarth, general manager of Intel Products Vietnam, in a meeting with HCMC chairman Le Hoang Quan on Wednesday.

USAID, Arizona State University and Intel Corp. announce $2 million expansion of program to improve higher ed, tech development in Vietnam

Siemens Helps Universities Develop Next Generation of Vietnamese Engineers

Ho Chi Minh City, April 15, 2011 - Siemens today announced an in-kind software grant with a commercial value of US$71 million to the Higher Education Engineering Alliance Program (HEEAP).
