ASU Provost Meets With Ho Chi Minh University at HEEAP Seminar in Vietnam

51_DSC09979_0.jpgArizona State University’s Executive Vice President and Provost, Elizabeth Capaldi, met with educators at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology at a Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) seminar in Vietnam on August 7.  There, Capaldi spoke of the ASU-employed new American University model that transforms educational institutions through data analytics and systems to drive innovation. 

HEEAP – Working Toward a Modern Technical Workforce in Vietnam

The Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) brings together government, academia, and industry leaders to modernize and advance Vietnamese engineering higher education. The alliance kicked off in 2010 with $5 million in funding and a three-year commitment from Intel Vietnam, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and Arizona State University (ASU). The past two summers, 78 Vietnamese lecturers from five technical universities and three vocational schools completed training programs at ASU.

Cadence Makes Multimillion Dollar In-kind Donation to HEEAP
