During the HEEAP faculty development trainings at ASU, in addition to the core value that the program brings to the faculty, there are many opportunities to experience other aspects that make these trainings more exciting. Here are the top 10 tips from my personal experience while visiting the ASU Tempe Campus in May 2015.

On June 30, 2014, 24 engineering lecturers from the five HEEAP Vietnamese partner universities traveled to Arizona State University to take part in a HEEAP Faculty Development Training. The cohort spent six weeks learning about engineering curriculum design, student success and active learning techniques.

ASU will sponsor candidates with Bachelor of Science degree from universities across Vietnam to complete a Master’s degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU).
Arizona State University continues to foster stronger international economic education and research ties through its role in the Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP).
The Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 VEF Visiting Scholar Program (VSP) for Vietnamese nationals, who already hold a doctorate in any of the fields supported by VEF, namely, in the major disciplines of sciences (natural, physical, and environmental), mathematics, medicine (such as, public health), and technology (including information technology). Fields include the basic sciences, such as, biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as agricultural science, computer science, and engineering.
After a 10-member delegation meeting that included top Vietnamese government and industry officials, ASU committed to take part in a program to help promote sustainable growth, modernize engineering and medical educational programs, train provincial leadership and generally develop the province of Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.
As the next step for the partnership, ASU faculty members are scheduled to travel to Vinh Phuc in mid-December to discuss the practical projects that will help the region grow.
