Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) is one of the leading technological institutions in Viet Nam. It is committed to the specialized knowledge of its faculties and upgrading the existing facilities in order to increase the quality of training and research. The University was officially established in October 1957 under the name of National Technical Center through the amalgamation of College of Civil Engineering,College of Electrical Engineering, Maritime Transportation School and College of Mechanical Engineering. After being merged with College of Chemical Engineering in 1972, the National Technical Center was renamed the National Technical Institute and subsequently Polytechnic University ( 1974).
