HEEAP Vocational Faculty Development Training - May 2014

The first HEEAP Vocational Faculty Development training of 2014 began on May 19. Seventeen faculty members from three different vocational schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam were selected to participate in the four-week program held at Arizona State University. In four weeks, the faculty members were put to rigorous work in developing techniques to enhance their classroom skills. The training alternated between two ASU campuses. HVCT Seminar 2014

On May 17th, 2014, the female HEEAP 2013 cohort from HVCT organized an exchange seminar between industry and students to compare the needs of foreign language and informatics knowledge with the needs of employers. This was a great opportunity for students to learn about the needs, as well as the requirements of employers.

CTTC Olympic Competition of Computer Skills 2014

On March 30, 2014, the CTTC HEEAP July 2013 group organized their first Olympic Competition of Computer Skills at Cao Thang Technical Institute, Vietnam. With approximately 100 students, the participants are tested on their office computer literacy; this includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Windows, computer hardware, etc. The competition requires strong collaborative group work, presentation, and effective communication.
