On March 13 and 15, 2017, BUILD-IT and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate program co-organized two one-day workshops in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang respectively with the participation of 87 faculty members from seven higher education institutions in Vietnam.
The Ho Chi Minh Vocational College of Technology commenced their project, the Technical English Club, on March 16th, 2014. Organized by the HEEAP 2013 female group, the Technical English Club opened their first seminar on April 12th, and will continually open every Sunday. The purpose of the English Club is to establish a strong relationship between confidence and accuracy when conversing or speaking in a large group. Certain practices require the students to be participating in a mock situation where they will have to use English to convey their message.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam(April 18, 2011) – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Arizona State University (ASU) and Intel Corp. announced today a $2-million expansion of a program to improve higher education and technological development in Vietnam. The program, called Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program or HEEAP, was developed jointly with the Government of Vietnam.
On April 14, 2011, Ho Chi Minh University of Industry, Cao Thang Technical College, Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College of Technology, Intel, USAID and Arizona State University signed the MOU for the Vocational Technology Education Alliance Program.
