University Programs
University Program
Faculty will be nominated by the selected institutions for participation in the HEEAP Program. ASU and Intel will define faculty selection criteria and an interview process to accept nominees. Full funding for faculty from the five core Vietnamese University Partners will be available for up to 25 qualified faculty for the 2013 cohort. Even more faculty can participate in the program at the expense of their universities, even if the universities were not selected to be sponsored as part of this grant.

Some initial defined faculty criteria include:
- Nominated by Dean of Engineering and approved by the Rector.
- Ph.D. holders preferred.
- Proficiency in English comprehension, writing and speaking. Faculty proficiency will be tested during the interview and application process.
- Research and instruction within a defined topic area in Electrical, Thermal, Mechanical Engineering
- ASU will make efforts to recruit participation by woman and minorities in each HEEAP program to support diversity efforts in engineering.
The program will be instructed by a core group of faculty from ASU and PSU. In addition to the core faculty, other content experts will be invited to lead sessions and provide workshops across the program. This will provide the Vietnamese faculty opportunities to learn from a network of faculty within their specific engineering areas (since both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering departments have specializations) and across disciplines.
